What does the term UX mean?

UX, or User Experience is the design of user experience. This is a term that has become a part of website and app design terminology. It directly determines the user’s experience when using a website depending on how he interacts with it.

The term User Experience is often accompanied by the term UI, i.e. user interface. It refers to all elements that the user of a site or application interacts with, and is primarily focused on graphic design.

It’s important to know that UX-related terms don’t just apply to web and app design, but to product design in general. User Experience, or user experience, is the overall user experience in relation to the site visited.

It allows you to determine how the user feels when navigating a particular system, whether their experience is smooth and intuitive, or if they get lost or confused. You can find out whether the navigation mechanism is logical, and also whether the tasks are actually solved when using the site.

Each product is a set of impressions

In web design, the UX team focuses on how and what the user sees, moves, reads, clicks, and searches for. These observations will help a person solve his problems.

When developing a site, a UX designer is looking for an answer to the question: what the user expects from the site. The specialist tries to anticipate these needs. A small change in design can help change the perception of the entire site, for example, through the size and shape of buttons, the placement of elements, or the shape of the content presented.

For this reason, the first step in designing a site for UX is to identify the goals it should serve. Then the process of broad optimization begins, which will eventually lead to the achievement of the goal, for example, in the case of online stores, this goal will be sales.

No less important will be the experience that accompanies the client. It is the willingness to stay on the site rather than leave it, to recommend the site to others, to learn more about the offer, the desire to search for content and go deeper. All this will be accompanied by a positive impression.

User-centric design

UX design, or UX design, is user-centric. The UX lead is the person who draws on the experience of both the product manager and the marketing team or those in charge of web analytics. Its task is to combine all these elements, that is, business goals with user needs, which will play an equally important role here, if not the most important.

User friendly website

If you know and understand the needs and experiences of visitors, you can develop a better product. The term user-fridenly, or user-friendly, seems obvious. However, the term “user-friendly” has a broader application. If you understand this, you can create certain web design principles and, by implementing them, simplify the entire process of navigating a site or using a product / service. Each positive action increases the total number of visitors, which leads to an increase in conversion (sales).
